LTA Big Tennis Weekend

We will be holding our Big Tennis Weekend on Sunday 11 June 2023 from 10.00am – 3.00pm. This event is part of a national campaign promoted by the LTA taking place all over the country encouraging thousands of people to head to their local tennis courts for free. It is all about having fun with coaching, games, competitions and social events. There will be refreshments available and discounted membership on the day for new members. Our new coaching provider ‘On Court Coaching’ will be on hand to demonstrate the coaching options that are available at the Club as well as possible new initiatives. We also have some great raffle prizes including; a Chiropody voucher, Farm Shop voucher and beer from the Welbeck Brewery to name only a few so please bring cash!

Please show your support by;

• attending this event and sharing details with family, friends and local groups. Poster attached for distribution.
• bringing your racket and being willing to hit with prospective new members / take part in the coaching taster sessions
• providing donations on the day for our cake sale

Sunday Social

We intend to hold an adult tennis social on Sunday 23 July 2023 from 11:00-14:00, similar to a Monday Night but with refreshments. Please bring something for the sharing buffet and enjoy a game of tennis with other Club members in lovely surroundings, any and all standards welcome.

InterClub Competition

We propose to run a Round Robin style event this year where all matches are organised between opponents commencing in July and being completed by early Sept.  On completion of the group matches the top two will compete on Finals Day, 24th Sept, so please ensure you are available on this date if entering. Full details and rules will be issued in due course.

For doubles you can enter as a pair, any single entries will be paired up. There will be a £3 fee per person/per entry (£1.50 junior) to cover the cost of trophies. These will be presented at our Presentation/Party Night on the 1^st Dec, so please save the date as we would really appreciate your attendance at this event too. Committee members will be collecting entry fees.

- Mixed Doubles

- Mixed Age doubles (to be made up of one adult (age 18+) and one junior (age under 18).)
