Welcome to Welbeck Tennis Club

Welbeck Tennis Club, which is over 20 years old, is a friendly expanding club set in attractive grounds of Welbeck Estate near the centre of Worksop in Nottinghamshire. Last year the club had in excess of 140 members. It is a not-for-profit club run by its members for the benefit of its members. Members annual subscriptions are used for the up-keep of the facilities. Our members come from a large catchment area including Worksop, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Ollerton, Retford, Warsop and Bolsover.

We provide coaching and skills development, organising and taking part in competitive sport, as well as providing plenty of opportunity to keep active in a social and friendly setting. For us, it's not all about serious training: we love it when our teams win, but we're just as enthusiastic about our groups that simply meet for fun.

We don't differentiate between our members. Anyone is welcome to join us. Our teams play in the Sheffield District League. We are always looking for new members who are interested in playing competitvely.

We have a regular junior section, offering tuition as well as playing every week which is very popular.

Tennis Facilities:

  • 3 x Outdoor all weather flood lit weather courts
  • Clubhouse
  • Free onsite car parking
  • Junior and Adult Coaching
  • Opportunities for competitive play in leagues
  • Social tennis

Update on Membership Renewals

There have been a number of members who have paid their membership directly into the bank account and have not completed the membership form. The Treasurer has decided that it is not necessary to complete a membership form unless:

* your details have changed (we will use your details from previous membership forms, however it is your responsibility to inform us of any changes). Details include phone numbers, addresses, etc.

* all junior members must have a fully completed form every year. Please include DOB. This includes family memberships.

Thank you.
